I just thought it was time I popped in to say "hello" officially - so hi! I've been loitering for a while and reading about your crafty adventures and I have to say I've learnt a lot!
I'm more of a metal basher than a delicate jeweller - love stamping, and my one attempt at being delicate with art clay was a true disaster since I'm all fingers and thumbs ;-) Still, I'm learning to be a bit more patient, and not give up at my first attempt. So I just wanted to say hi, and I look forward to getting to know you all better!

Hi Ness - I'm from sunny Nottingham in the midlands.
I'm ashamed to say my stuff is really commercial and not at all artsy like some of you guys. Not really the direction I wanted to go in, but it pays the bills and funds my tool craving!
I might be persuaded to share once I've lurked a bit more hehe!

Hey Ema, if it pays the bills AND funds a tool craving you're doing GREAT!

Welcome aboard, Ema! If your jewelry pays bills and buys tools, you're way ahead of most of us here!

Ok, I just checked back in and then based on the comments re-read my post. Sorry! It sounded a bit better than the reality. Obviously typing faster than I think is a bad habit of mine!!
The making funds around 50% of my bills, but I still work full time at a day job unfortunately to pay the rest and fulfil my tool lust. Still, I'm determined in the next 6 months or so to make it pay full time. Can't stand the day job.
It's definitely growing, but its taken me two years or so to get this far, and it's been a painful process. I have to say my range at the moment is priced, and made to sell and not the sort of stuff I'd love to make. But like most of you I am conscious that customers have a budget and tend to buy at the low-end. Someday I'll manage to educate them to buy the fancy stuff!
