I am very new to this forum (not so to others). This forum was recommended to me by a friend. My Name is Kate.
I am from and live in North Carolina. I have been making jewelry for the past 7 years, but still consider myself
a beginner as there is always something new to learn. My personal mantra is "Learn one new thing each day."
I also sell supplies--that is definitely in the beginning stages--I promise you I can tell you everything not to do--from experience!! I use glass beads (Czech and Swarovski), seed beads, silver, brass, base metal, plated
metals, copper, gemstones, lampwork beads made by friends and occasionally some commercially made beads and pendants.
I relish the hunt for the perfect design. I have made some that sold so many of exactly the same thing over and over again that I felt like a one-person assembly line! Design is more important than content. I use what looks good in the design, but never falsely advertise "ingredients".
Now, I have told more than you really want to know.
It is a pleasure to be a part of this forum.

i think it is important to always learn a new thing along the way--and you sound like you're on the path that makes you happy--so hope you have big success!
i love to make only ONE of a thing, that way i can be creative and not feel like i'm at a 'real job' by doing the same thing over and over, BUT sometimes you have to do that to make enough $$ to buy more supplies! LOL!!!
oh well, we do what we have to, don't we!
