Please remember that we are not responsible for any messages posted. We do not vouch for or warrant the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any message, and are not responsible for the contents of any message.

The messages express the views of the author of the message, not necessarily the views of this forum. Any user who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to contact us immediately by email at support@cageycrafters.com. We have the ability to remove objectionable messages and we will make every effort to do so, within a reasonable time frame, if we determine that removal is necessary.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this bulletin board to post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violative of any law.

You agree not to post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or by this bulletin board.

Failure to follow the rules could result in a warning, account suspension, or termination. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any member at any time for any reason. These rules are subject to change at any time so be sure to read them frequently. "Not knowing" about a rule does not in any way free you from the obligation to follow it. We reserve the right to adjust the rules as situations arise.

General Forum Guidelines

You are required to treat others with respect at all times. Attacks, put downs, and nonconstructive criticism will result in a warning or termination of your account. If you don't have anything nice to say, please don't say anything at all. Constructive criticism meant to be helpful is allowed, but be aware everyone may not be welcoming of unsolicited advice. If you have a complaint about someone please do not post your complaint on the forum, others do not want to read it, in that case you would need to PM a Moderator.

Please keep discussions of a religious nature to general terms, such as "we were at church tonight...". Religious debates can result in a flame thread quickly. Due to the varying religious beliefs of our members it would be impossible to allow those discussions. No racist remarks, profanity, personal attacks, religious or political debates, offensive images, or spam allowed.

Spam Rules and Proceedures

Positively no spam allowed, if you are spamming the forum your IP will be banned promptly. Nearly everyone here is selling something so we should probably clarify what is NOT considered spam. You may put a link to your website in your signature, in most cases links in posts will be removed if they are directing people to your site as a way to promote sales. Special considerations are given to our lampworkers, you may post links to your sites, Etsy stores or eBay auctions in your posts....if you don't post a link someone will likely ask you to do so anyway. Anything that could be considered an advertisement style post for your site will be considered spam and removed, as a result your IP may be banned but that will be decided on a case by case basis. Determining what is and is not considered spam will be decided by the managers of this forum, if you wish to post something and you aren't sure please send a PM to any of the Moderators with your questions.

Swap Meet

Members are free to post items for sale in the "Swap Meet" section. Items must be related to the content of the forum, meaning jewelry making and arts & crafts supplies only. CageyCrafters cannot be held responsible for monetary transactions between members, please use good common sense when deciding to make a purchase from a fellow forum member. If you do have a complaint, let us know and we may take action to suspend that person's account if we believe they did not act in good faith. We can only suspend or ban an account, we will not be able to assist you in recovering your losses so please be sure you check out the seller as best you can.

Emails

You may not send spam in emails via the forum. If you ever do get spam via the forum please let us know ASAP. You should be aware that the board does log emails sent via the forum so we do have access to those logs should we ever need to read them. There is a note above the email window that re-states that as well. We will not read your private emails unless we are notified that someone is abusing the system then we may choose to view emails sent by that user.

A member found abusing the email or PM system is subject to a warning, suspension or account termination. Spam, threats, personal attacks etc. initiated to any member via tools provided by the forum will not be tolerated.

If you would prefer not to receive email from other members you can adjust your settings by going to "My Controls", "Email Settings" and selecting the box next to "Hide my email address from other members".

Personal Messages/PM's

The same rules apply to PM's as mention in the above verbiage pertaining to emails. We do not have access to your personal PM's therefore if you receive a PM that you feel violates the rules you will need to forward it to a Moderator by hitting "reply" and entering the Moderator's name in the "To" field.

If you do not wish to receive PM's from certain members you can choose to "Block" them via your PM window. You may also disable PM's all together in the "My Contols" link at the top of the forum. You cannot block PM's from Moderators.

Positively No Hotlinking

Hotlinking is a form of stealing bandwidth from another site. If you embed a picture onto the forum using a link from someone else's site this is considered hotlinking and is illegal. See this link for a more detailed description of hotlinking. You must host your images yourself or use the hosting services provided by this forum. You can upload your pictures directly into your posts or create an album in the Gallery. Hotlinked images will be removed.

Thread Hijacking

Please do keep posts on topic. If a post triggers a question unrelated to the original post please start another post with your question. Posting a question in an unrelated post can cause members to ignore your question, and you may not get the answers you need. Any information that is given could be lost within an unrelated post. If Moderators see a thread that has been hijacked we will split the topic and put your question into a new topic. Thread hijacking is annoying to others so please use consideration when posting.

The Chat Room

All of the above rules will apply to the chat room as well. Please be aware that the chat room does log conversations so please do not discuss private information such as credit card numbers etc. We will never read those logs unless we are alerted to a problem then we may choose to pull a record of the reported conversation to determine the appropriate course of action.

Blogs

Your Blog is your Blog and you may post what you wish there with a few exceptions: no pornographic material, your Blog may not be used to conduct or discuss illegal practices, no material deemed sexual in nature, no racism or terrorist threats of any kind, no personal attacks on others etc. We reserve the right to remove any Blog at any time whether or not the offensive material is specifically listed above, if you are using your Blog in a manner that management deems offensive it will be removed. Other than that, we cannot and will not censor your Blog posts as long as you abide by the above listed rules.

Gallery

We reserve the right to remove any image that does not abide by the above outlined guidelines or that we determine may be offensive to others.

If you have any questions about the above rules please PM any of the Moderators. If you believe someone has violated any of the above rules and wish to report it you may also contact a Moderator. To report a post that is in violation of the rules you can simply hit the "Report" button on the lower left hand corner of the post to send a message to the board administrators.
