*sigh* Okay, okay, I lost another pound today!!! Yay!! Total of ten pounds now, wow! And it's all about portions and exercising...portions and exercise...portions and exercise. Yeah, yeah I know. I get it finally. But it's hard to schedule an exercise routine. Last week I only worked out twice and this week (so far) once, yesterday. And, honestly, the only reason why I worked out yesterday was 'cause I'd been cheating on my diet. I knew I was supposed to get weighed-in today and felt the guilt settling in, so I went to the gym last night at the last minute. I just couldn't bear getting weighed-in today and then hear "oh, up one pound!"
So at the last minute I headed straight for the gym and got there at 9:30pm or so. I did one hour on the precore machine. And I exercised 4 miles and burned around 400 calories. I was so proud of myself.
I'm thinking that sometimes you can cheat as long as the rest of the meals are balanced. For instance, I had two banana muffins this morning, so for lunch I had a really, really, really, REALLY low point meal, the same for dinner. I did that too last week when I ate stuff I shouldn't have. By doing that, it balanced out in the end. And I believe that's what helped me to lose the one pound I thought I was going to gain today.
Oh and going back about the gym, one thing, though, just why...WHY the heck are all the TV monitors set to the same channel? It looks like no one cares because most of the time they are set to sports. And everyone watches them. I'm not a sports fanatic, so I guess that's why I wonder. One would think they'd set the TV's to different channels to accommodate the preferences of the members, right? *sigh* It's already hard to get myself to the gym, so having to watch sports doesn't make it any easier.
Maybe watching sports will subliminally motivate members to rev it up a notch while they're working out?? Yeah, I think that may be the intention.
I'll give them that benefit of the doubt.
Ok, so tomorrow I HOPE to work out again...I really don't like to 'cause I could be doing other things that are more interesting, like eating...LOL! But it is a new day. I always feel like the day after weigh-in, it's a brand new day, with brand new opportunities, and brand new goals to get back on track, even if I screwed up my diet two days ago. It's a brand new day of starting all over again. A brand new day to get back on that train heading towards a healthier and leaner life style.
